Instructor Clifton Chow will work on specific
techniques to enhance your level of dancing. These workshops
are for Intermediate and Advanced Argentine Tango
students ONLY.
1:00 to 2:30 PM: Intermediate Milonga Traspie
This workshop will focus on interpreting the milonga rhythm
in the traditional traspie style. Participants will learn
several variations of syncopations and playful musical
interpetations. Participants should have at least some
exposure to basic milonga, but there will be a review
for those who have been dancing Argentine Tango for at
least 3-6 months, but who have not danced to milonga.
2:45 to 4:15 PM: Advanced Tango: Touch The Sky
with Jumps & Intertwining Sacadas
Have you ever wanted to touch the sky with "saltos"
or "jumps?" Here's your chance. Advanced dancers
will be given the opportunity to learn this special technique
for stage and intimate choreography. The workshop will
also feature multiple intertwining sacadas for both leaders
and followers. Participants should feel comfortable with
Argentine Tango at the high intermediate or low advanced
level. Previous exposure to sacada helpful but not necessary.

- Limited to 6 couples per workshop, on a first-come,
first-served basis
